Most memorable work experience: Having a boiler overhead and blow-up while I was at lunch during my first year of teaching; it destroyed my office and the room I taught in; timing is everything!
Greatest accomplishment: Teaching in the same community more than 40 years, seeing former students take their place as leaders and professionals and then teaching their children!
Favorite musical instrument: Piano
Favorite song: Pachelbel Canon in D, because of its deceptive simplicity
Favorite composer: Mozart
What I like most about the job: It's never dull and always exciting
The students I taught have gone on to become: Everything from professors and department heads of music at major universities to doctors and lawyers; I even taught students who ended up teachers at Hollywood Central!
I'm currently reading: The DaVinci Code
My motto: Never give up - no matter what!
If I won the lottery, I would: Open my own music school
Favorite foods: Cheese, chicken and popcorn
Something you probably didn't know about me: I love traveling in the mountains and writing poetry
If I could pick someone out of history to have lunch with, I would choose: Socrates
