Monarch High School officially opened its doors in the fall of 2003 to over 1,000 students. The school's dedication ceremony lived up to its theme, "A Celebration of Pride." The entire Monarch High family celebrated, showing off Broward's newest high school and showcasing the school's brand new auditorium that opened just in time to house the ceremony. Officials from the cities of Coconut Creek and Margate - along with business and community partners, students and parents - joined School Board members Robert Parks, Ed.D., Darla L. Carter and Board Vice Chair Stephanie Arma Kraft, Esq. for the special celebration.

Everglades High Set for Sports
Everglades High
A new stadium at Everglades High School will soon be a reality. A groundbreaking ceremony was held to mark the official start of construction on the 4,000-seat facility. Officials from the Eastern Financial Florida Credit Union were on hand to formally contribute $500,000 toward the stadium. In light of the generous donation, the new facility will be named the Eastern Financial Florida Stadium at Everglades High. The stadium and field will have space for football and soccer and will feature a nine-lane rubber track for regional athletic meets. School Board members Beverly A. Gallagher and Marty Rubinstein and South Area Superintendent Sam Gregg were joined by Miramar Mayor Lori Mosley and other honored guests for the groundbreaking.
