Have you seen NetTV?
The old saying goes: Necessity is the mother of invention.

That rings true for the District's creation of NetTV.

What's NetTV, you ask? Well, surf on over to the District's Internet Web site (www.browardschools.com). You'll see the cool-looking NetTV logo on the Main page - click on it, and you'll be taken to our NetTV studio.

We all know there are really great things happening around our District. The problem is that not all these fantastic events are making the 6 o'clock news. So, we decided to shine the spotlight on these significant events ourselves.

We've been there when our students honored those lost during the September 11th terrorist attacks. And we've tagged along with students as they attended the annual Kids Day at the Air & Sea Show. When Flanagan High dedicated its long-awaited stadium, NetTV was there to capture all the action.

And we've worked with the Broward County Athletics Association to feature school sporting events via NetTV Sports. Yep, there are two NetTV channels - one for news and one for sports.

And we're constantly looking for events for NetTV to feature. To be considered for NetTV, the event has to rise to a certain level (sorry, spaghetti dinners and PTA meetings don't make the cut.) Please let the Community Relations Department know by calling 954-765-6274.

So if you're looking for a place that features the "good news," look no further than our Web site and NetTV.
