Students across the District wrote letters to soldiers, collected supplies and took part in ceremonies. One example was at Nova High School in Davie, where students and staff gathered at a memorial constructed by students, the marching band played the National Anthem and the 1st Year Navy JROTC presented our Nation's Colors as Taps was played.
