Bair Middle School’s BFF Club Makes a Difference in the Community

Thursday, October 29, 2015

The Bair Friends Forever (BFF) Club and its creator sixth grade language arts and world history teacher Daniel Buchwald instill core values such as compassion, sympathy, empathy and unselfishness in students at Bair Middle School.  This club participates in community events such as the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life® and the Walk to Defeat ALS©.

Additionally, the BFF Club is the only school in Broward County to participate in the City of Sunrise Fire Department’s Certified Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) with 18 students graduating and receiving Federal Emergency Management Agency certification.

The BFF Club also has the only school to have a chapter of the Broward Youth Coalition run by the United Way of Broward County.
