Lauderdale Lakes Middle School Students Learn to Play the Harp

Friday, February 24, 2017

More than a dozen students at Lauderdale Lakes Middle School are learning to play the harp. As part of an exciting afterschool program learning project, the students are performing for the community and sharing a new excitement for music education.

The school was able to purchase the harps through the SMART bond initiative. A community volunteer generously provides free harp lessons to the students afterschool on Mondays.

“This program is opening doors to new learning opportunities and experience for our students. They are excelling and learning to play the harp,” said Principal James Griffin.
