Literacy Challenge: James S. Hunt Elementary School Students Read for More Than 79,000 Minutes

Friday, February 13, 2015
James S. Hunt Elementary School students were challenged by administrators to read 79,000 minutes during the week of January 26 - January 30.

The challenge called for each student to read 100 minutes during that week, and if successful, then Principal Mr. Lozano and Assistant Principal, Mrs. Espana would trade places with each other for a day, including their appearance.

The students were voracious readers and exceeded 79,000 minutes of reading, so on Monday, February 9, 2015 principal Lozano and assistant principal, Mrs. Espana accepted defeat and traded not only places, but looks. To learn more about the programs and activities at James S.
