McArthur High School Teacher Receives the 2017 DuPont/Pioneer Award

Vincent Newman, a science teacher at McArthur High School, was selected by the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) Awards and Recognitions Committee as the recipient of the 2017 DuPont/Pioneer Excellence in Agricultural Science Education Award.

This national award is a partnership between DuPont Pioneer and the National Science Teachers Association and recognizes excellence and innovation in the field of agricultural science education.

Newman will receive a $2,500 grant for his classroom, opportunity to mentor with a DuPont Pioneer scientist, access to a science facility and classroom resources.

The award will be presented during the NSTA National Conference on Friday, March 31, 2017.
