Musical Duo Black Violin Performs for 1,000 Students

More than 1,000 elementary, middle and high school students watched BCPS alumni Kev Marcus and Wil B. of Black Violin perform at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. This event is part of the Student Enrichment in the Arts (SEAS) program, a partnership between BCPS and the Broward Center.

Students from schools throughout the District including the Turnaround Arts schools Bethune Elementary School, Lake Forest Elementary School and Walker Elementary School, listed to the inspirational duo speak about arts education and students achieving their dreams.  The performers discussed challenges they faced and how they overcame difficulties relying on their passion for music.
