Friday, December 01, 2017

Congratulations to two Northeast High School teachers, pictured to the right, Lise Clara Mabour and Randa Flinn, who were invited by the Lemelson Foundation to Washington, D.C. to participate in a panel discussion at a STEM Funders’ Network meeting held at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. A seventh-grade inventor, Riley Hodson, and Spark Lab manager Tricia Edwards joined Mabour and Flinn to speak about their invention experiences and answer questions.

Mabour was a Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam member and a student at Northeast High School. She returned to her alma mater to teach biology. Mabour aspires for her students to become critical thinkers and be inventive in all of their pursuits.
