Congratulations to Ramblewood Elementary School’s Jada Porter, for being selected to appear on national TV to pitch her online bakery business, Porter’s Pastries. The future is looking sweet for this talented 10-year-old pastry chef, who landed a spot on The Harry Show to compete at the first ever “Biz Kid,” kids business competition. Jada is one of only three kid businesses that made the cut in a national search for the most fitting candidates for the elite competition.

“We are so proud of Jada for pursuing her dreams,” said Ramblewood Elementary Principal Maria Perez. “She is a shining example of dedication and hard work to achieve your goals, and proves that entrepreneurship is within reach, even for children.”

Jada has also started her “A DOZEN Acts of Kindness” movement, which promotes various kind acts. In addition, a portion of her company’s proceeds is donated to the Kidz Count organization that promotes youth financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
