Thursday, December 08, 2016

On the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, the Broward County Association of Student Councils hosted its second Virtual Honor Flight event for veterans and survivors of World War II. The students created the flightless Honor Flight project to honor veterans who because of medical or health risks are unable to participate in the Spring Honor Flight mission to Washington, D.C. to visit the World War II memorial. The veterans and their families were treated to dinner and a special Virtual Honor Flight program in honor of their service and sacrifice.
