Students from Stranahan High School Elect Chief Executive Officer in Business Program

Business students at Stranahan High School elected a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for a business they created to learn about business entrepreneurship and analytics.  Community members, officials, faculty and staff participated in the selection process.  The new CEO is Injyil Gates (pictured left) and will be responsible for all facets of the business including:
  • Managing daily operations of all external business departments
  • Supervising the marketing, sales, art and digital media departments
  • Directing the business growth planning, business policies and procedures
  • Coordinating communication with the leadership team
  • Supervising overall operations involving marketing, advertising and sales
  • Developing the company business plan, mission and vision statements
  • Facilitating weekly department meetings for inter-departmental communication
  • Developing and maintaining the external public image of the company
Throughout the year, the students will be competing against business created by other schools across the nation.
