Superintendent Visits Schools to Kick Off the 2017/18 School Year

Summer vacation is officially over as more than 270,000 students and 15,000 teachers in Broward County Public Schools headed back to the classroom on Monday, August 21, 2017 – the first day of school. Superintendent Robert W. Runcie started his day by greeting school bus operators at the Central Transportation Terminal before boarding a bus to the first of several schools visited across the District during the day.
