The Henry D. Perry Education Center is Official!

Thursday, December 15, 2016

Formerly known as Hallandale Adult Community Center, The Henry D. Perry Education Center celebrated its relocation by hosting a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on December 1, 2016, at 3400 Wildcat Way in Miramar.

The event was designed to showcase the programs and services offered by the alternative high school serving students in grades 7 through 12.  The new location continues to offer the following great programs:

  • Middle School Academy – Provides students the opportunity to continue their 8th grade education in a positive environment dedicated to accelerating their learning by also completing high school credits in the same year.
  • Teen Parent Program - Provides students the opportunity to work toward a high school diploma, while gaining important parenting skills. Free child care and transportation is provided to students in the program.
  • Alternative High School – Provides students looking to earn a diploma with the opportunity to improve their grade point average, recover credits, or because they seek a smaller, more personalized learning environment.  Students also have the opportunity to complete a 'Career in a Year' by enrolling at one of the District's three technical colleges, while enrolled at Henry D. Perry Education Center.
Henry D. Perry Education Center also offers adult students a myriad of opportunities through adult education programs such as GED prep, ESOL and basic education courses, which are offered as day and evening classes.
