Two South Plantation High Students Receive Culpepper Journalism Foundation Fellowships

Brianna Horland and Bayleigh Pearson from South Plantation High School earned $600 Culpepper Journalism Foundation fellowships to attend summer journalism programs at universities. Both students are on the South Plantation High Sword and Shield newspaper staff.

Horland will travel to Stanford's Newsroom By the Bay program in California while Pearson will attend the University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications Summer Institute. As part of the CJF fellowship program, the seniors will return to the South Plantation High to teach their newspaper staffers what they experienced during the college programs.
