Whiddon-Rogers Education Center Student Featured in National Mentoring Video

Congratulations to Talicia Gonzales, a Whiddon-Rogers Education Center student, for being invited to New York City to be part of the National CARES Mentoring Movement video, “The Rising: Elevating, Education, Expectations and Self Esteem.” The National CARES Mentoring Movement is the brainchild of Founder and CEO Susan Taylor, editor-in-chief emeritus of Essence Magazine. Talicia is part of the South Florida CARES Mentoring Movement, an affiliate of National CARES Mentoring Movement, which provides mentoring and wellness services primarily to African-American, Latino and Caribbean students.
