Broward County Public Schools honored its finest and best at the 2017 Caliber Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale. Congratulations to the District’s Teacher of the Year, Principal of the Year, Assistant Principal of the Year and School-Related Employee of the Year, as well as all of the outstanding finalists and nominees for your exemplary leadership, hard work and dedication to our students and schools.

Broward County names Teacher, Principal of the YearLocal 10 
Broward County Public Schools announced its Teacher of the Year and Principal of the Year award winners Wednesday night.  Eleanna Hurst, a third-grade teacher at Collins Elementary School took the Teacher of the Year prize, and Panther Run Elementary School principal Elaine Saef won the Principal of the Year award.

A third-grade teacher from Dania Beach was named Broward Teacher of the Year on Wednesday. The district selected Eleanna Hurst of Collins Elementary School for the honor at its annual awards ceremony. About 1,500 people including teachers, district staff, board members and community leaders gathered at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention Center for the gala.

This week's BrandsMart U.S.A's Super Teacher heads up the drama program at Coral Glades High school. Ms. Sarah Amengual was a former Broadway actress and uses her talents to prepare her students for the big stage!

West Broward High School student with cancer wins Make Her Mark award - Local 10 
A Broward County high school student who has cancer was honored Monday for all of her hard work in her school and in her community. Samirah Khan had a look of shock on her face as she won the third annual Make Her Mark award in a surprise ceremony with family and classmates watching on.

NBC 6 Brag About Your School - Coral Springs High School - NBC 6
The school has more dual-enrollment classes on its campus than any other high school in Broward County. It leads the district in reassignment requests, meaning more students want to transfer in to Coral Springs High School than to any other high school.
