Class of 2016, mark your calendars! Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) announces graduation ceremonies for all high schools, centers and technical colleges. Graduation ceremonies will kick off on June 3, 2016.  Below is the schedule of ceremonies, locations, dates and times. The complete graduation schedule is also available at browardschools.com.
On Sunday, December 20, 2015, the Tobacco Free Partnership of Broward County, in partnership with Broward County Public Schools and the Florida Panthers, will unveil winning artwork from local school aged children.
Broward County Public Schools is proud to host the first National Summit for Principal Supervisors at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, May 11- 13, 2016.  Superintendents, district leadership and principal supervisors from across the nation will engage in professional development opportunities aimed at improving the outcomes of school principals.

Dillard Elementary Students Learn High-Demand Skills During Field Trip
It might've been the nerdiest, techiest field trip ever. A group of 50 students from Dillard Elementary in Fort Lauderdale toured the headquarters of VocabularySpellingCity.com, a local company which makes online educational tools and games which they actually use at Dillard. The kids are seeing behind the scenes, learning how the programs are made.
Hollywood school has four days of anti-drug events
Red Ribbon Week, aimed at preventing substance abuse, was recently observed at schools throughout the country. The focus was particularly strong at Hollywood's McNicol Middle School, which hosted four days of activities in conjunction with the United Way of Broward County Commission on Substance Abuse.
Most Broward high schools changing class schedules
Instead of seven short course periods each day, students at most Broward County high schools will soon have longer classes that meet every other day.
HEART program helps local students in need
BrightStar Credit Union in Hollywood already has its annual toy drive well on its way, and this year the institution has partnered with the Homeless Education Assistance Resource Team. Known as H.E.A.R.T., the group will deliver the donations to children in Broward County Public Schools.
