They call him the face of Taravella High School in Coral Springs. Duran Cameron does the televised announcements every morning, and he’s one of those students everyone seems to go to for advice, or just a hug.

Broward School Board tentatively approves changes to Millennium grades, Parkland boundaries - Sun-Sentinel
Tamarac will likely get a new high school next school year. The Broward County School Board gave initial approval Wednesday to a plan to convert Millennium Middle into a school for sixth through 12th grades. A final vote is scheduled for March 22, 2017. 

South Broward High School’s Wind Symphony Band to play Carnegie Hall in April 2017 - Hollywood Gazette
The South Broward High School Wind Symphony Band will travel by train to New York City to perform at Carnegie Hall in April 2017. The band will leave early in the morning on April 12 and return April 17. Band members hope to raise $120,000 to pay for the costs of the trip.
