Broward County School Board Regular Meeting, June 7, 2016, Rescheduled to June 15, 2016, 10:15 a.m. 
The June 7, 2016, regular meeting of The School Board of Broward County, Florida has been rescheduled, to allow for attendance at high school graduation ceremonies. The School Board will now hold its regular meeting on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, beginning at 10:15 a.m., at the Kathleen C. Wright Administration Center, Board Room, 600 SE Third Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301.
 
Dillard Elementary School Showcases Future Career Opportunities for Students through an Interactive Career City
More than 70 local businesses will share potential careers with students from Dillard Elementary.  Students will walk through an interactive city to learn about different professions and local industries.  Students will have the opportunity to ask questions about potential future careers and learn about specific professions directly from industry leaders.

Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) congratulates Benjamin Goldstein of Cooper City High School and Jalen Jiang of Cypress Bay High School for being named the District’s 2016 Sunshine State Scholars.
 
Douglas secures long-sought state baseball championship 
After a quarter-century of coming close, Parkland’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School finally finished the job and secured the school’s first state championship with a 3-0 win over Miami Columbus in the Class 9A final at JetBlue Park.

Broward County Public Schools to hire hundreds of teachers
Administrators and principals from hundreds of schools throughout Broward County converged in Fort Lauderdale Thursday in hopes of finding hundreds of new teachers. Teaching candidates from across the country came to the recruitment fair with resumes in hand at the Broward County Convention Center.
