Mark your calendars! Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) students will start the 2016/17 school year on Monday, August 22, 2016
. The School Board of Broward County, Florida, approved the 2016/17 school year calendar at its December 8, 2015, School Board meeting.
The 2016/17 school year calendar, with 180 instructional days, includes a two-week winter break from December 26 – January 6, and a one-week spring break from April 10 – 14. Teacher planning days (no students in school) are scheduled for August 15 – 19; October 28; November 8; January 13; March 24 and June 9. The last day of school for students will be June 8, 2017.
The school year calendar also includes the dates interim reports and report cards are issued, early release days, holidays, District offices closed days, and contingencies for up to five hurricane make-up days, if needed. To view the 2016/17 school year calendar, visit browardschools.com.
