BCPS is proud to be one of 118 school districts across the country participating in the Sprint 1Million Project.

Through this partnership, BCPS has learned that across the country 70 percent of high school teachers assign homework with an online component, yet more than five million families do not have internet access at home. This is called the homework gap.

The 2017/18 school year marks the first year of the initiative, which will help close the homework gap for 2,500 BCPS students with free tablets, hotspots or smartphones.
