WHY:              
The “Me and My Dad Challenge” aims to encourage fathers and other adults who serve as primary role models for children, to become more involved and engaged in their lives.  For the second annual event, Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Broward County; Tony Sands Speed Training; the city of Fort Lauderdale; Broward County Public Schools Early Childhood Education and Title I departments; Opportunities Industrialization Centers of Broward County; and other community organizations will present a fun-filled day for fathers and children.  Activities include an obstacle course, 3-point shoot-out and other educational and team building events.  The keynote speakers are HOT 105 FM radio hosts Rick Party (The Rick Party Show) and Kelly Davis (a.k.a. Big Man Kelly).
 
The “Me and My Dad Challenge” is free and open to the community. However, those wanting to compete in the Challenge activities are asked to pre-register by visiting www.memydad2.eventbrite.com or by calling Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies of Broward at 954-765-0550, Extension 303.
