BCPS Disparity Study Work Group to Discuss Policy Options

Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Staff, Business Partners and Community Leaders

WHAT:  
In an effort to remain committed to fair and equitable contracting opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses, BCPS has planned a series of Disparity Study Work Group meetings to review the Disparity Study Report findings and recommendations.  Participants will provide feedback on recommended policy options that will be presented to the School Board of Broward County.    

WHEN:  
Friday, February 5, 2016, at 9 a.m.  
Friday, February 19, 2016, at 9 a.m.
Friday, March 4, 2016, at 9 a.m.

WHY:            
The Disparity Study, conducted over a five-year time frame from July 1, 2008 – June 30, 2013, evaluated the District’s contracting practices in the area of professional services, contractual services, commodities and construction. The Disparity Study Work Group meetings will offer local businesses and community members the opportunity to provide feedback and recommendations.
