BCPS Partners With Broward College to Host Free Application for Federal Student Aid Workshops

Thursday, January 19, 2017
Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) continues to partner with Broward College to help students and families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), through a series of free workshops.
It’s estimated that BCPS high school students missed out on a total of $150 million in federal financial aid

because they didn’t complete a FAFSA, last year. Federal financial aid can reduce or assist students in their education expenses at an eligible college, university or technical school.
High school seniors are encouraged to apply for federal student aid as soon as possible due to a first-come, first-served availability of financial aid support. The Florida FAFSA deadline is May 15, 2017.
There are several upcoming workshops across three Broward College campuses to assist students and families in completing the FAFSA. Workshops also provide information on other resources for financial aid and scholarships for students’ postsecondary education.
