The BCPS Food and Nutrition Services Department shares What’s New on the Menu in 2017/18 and introduces its new partnership with WITS, which is dedicated to supporting healthy eating among students.

The District’s Food and Nutrition Services Department is continuing to add healthy and tasty food choices to school breakfast and lunch menus in 2017/18, and is welcoming media to visit Watkins Elementary School, one of the District’s year-round schools, to learn more about the menu options this school year for students. In addition, Watkins Elementary School is one of two District schools selected to participate in the WITS program, which connects schools with local chefs to encourage healthy eating and nutrition education for students throughout the school year.
