Public Hearings on 2016/17 School Attendance Areas and School Usage Recommendations

WHY:

The School Board will review and determine attendance areas and school usage recommendations for all elementary, middle, high and combination schools for the 2016/17 school year at two scheduled public hearing events. The public is encouraged to attend and provide input.

The Superintendent’s final 2016/17 school boundary recommendations, based on community and School Board input, include:
  • Hallandale Elementary and Gulfstream Middle combine to create Hallandale K-8 School
  • Hallandale Adult relocates to Henry D. Perry Middle School site
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School Montessori Magnet Program
  • Henry D. Perry Middle School to New Renaissance Middle School
  • Gulfstream Middle School to Olsen Middle School
  • Bair Middle School Montessori Magnet Program
  • Coconut Creek High School Career/Technical Magnet Program
