BCPS Announces National Merit Scholarships Sponsored by U.S. Colleges and Universities

Congratulations to 23 Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) high school seniors, who are among the more than 3,200 students announced today by National Merit Scholarship Corporation winners of National Merit Scholarships, financed by U.S. colleges and universities. Officials from each sponsor college selected their scholarship winners from the finalists in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program. These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship. An additional group of scholars will be announced in July 2017, bringing the total number of college-sponsored National Merit Scholarship recipients in the 2017 competition to approximately 4,000.
