Congratulations to Driftwood Middle School for being one of over 300 schools across the country chosen for the Healthier Generations School Award. As a bronze award winner, Driftwood Middle met best practices criteria established by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation Healthy Schools Program.
Driftwood Middle will be honored during this year’s Leaders Summit, on October 3, 2015, in Washington D.C. The Summit will bring together over 400 school, industry, corporate and out-of-school time partners that continue to make extraordinary strides for childhood health.
In 2005, the Clinton Foundation and the American Heart Association partnered to address one of the most important issues facing the United States, childhood obesity. The result of that partnership, the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, is celebrating 10 years of creating healthier environments for more than 20 million children across the country.
