WHAT:            
To celebrate the 2015 Miami International Book Fair, children's book author/illustrator Eric Velasquez will read his book, “Los Discos de mi Abuela” to Hallandale Elementary dual language students.

WHY:              
Broward County Public Schools Bilingual/ESOL and Dual Languages Department, along with Hallandale Elementary School, will host children’s book author/illustrator, Eric Velasquez. He will read his book: “Discos de mi Abuela” (Grandma’s Records) to students in the dual language Spanish program, grades kindergarten through third. Each student will receive a free copy of the book to take home.
 
Velasquez lives and works in New York City. He teaches book illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. For more information on the author, visit www.ericvelasquez.com.
