Internationally acclaimed opera singer Carla Dirlikov visits students at Lake Forest
Elementary – a Turnaround Arts School – as part of her commitment to work with students
and teachers. Dirlikov will conduct and guide students on music techniques, while
encouraging them to persevere in their studies and pursue their dreams.

Lake Forest Elementary is one of only a few schools in the nation, including Bethune
Elementary School and Walker Elementary School in Broward, selected to partner with the
Turnaround Arts initiative awarded by the President’s Committee on the Arts and the
Humanities. As a Turnaround Artist, Carla Dirlikov works directly with students and
teachers at Lake Forest Elementary throughout the school year to support their arts
education and highlight their success.
