Outreach and Education Event for Suppliers and Contractors

Who:

Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Procurement and Warehousing Department Staff, Local Businesses and Community Members  
 

What:

This outreach fair provides an opportunity for local businesses and construction contractors to learn about working with the District, including the certification process for minority and women-owned businesses, insurance regulations, pre-qualification and upcoming opportunities.

Presentations on a variety of topics include Procurement and Warehousing Services, Risk Management, Facilities, Supplier Diversity and Outreach, Warehousing and Non-Construction Purchasing Opportunities. Business matchmaking meetings will also be available.

Thursday, March 31, 2016, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Why:

The outreach and education event is a chance for local businesses to learn how to do business with the District and receive information from department representatives. The event will provide local minority and women-owned businesses with more information about opportunities that exist.
