Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year 2014 Finalists Announced

Charismatic, dedicated, committed, extraordinary leader, champion, innovative and passionate are just a few of the words used by their colleagues to describe this year’s top finalists for Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Principal of the Year and Assistant Principal of the Year. Four outstanding school leaders have been named finalists in each category.

2014 Principal of the Year Finalists:

Brian Faso, Miramar High School, Miramar
Richard Garrick, Lauderhill Paul Turner Elementary School, Lauderhill
Camille Pontillo, Coral Park Elementary School, Coral Springs
 
2014 Assistant Principal of Year Finalists:
 
William DeKlavon, Seminole Middle School, Plantation
Daryl Diamond, Sheridan Technical Center, Hollywood
Linda Humphrey, Boyd H. Anderson High School, Lauderdale Lakes
Gina Montagnino, Lauderhill 6-12 STEM-MED, Lauderhill
 
The Principal of the Year and Assistant Principal of the Year finalists and all nominees will be honored at the BCPS Caliber Awards on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 5:30 p.m., at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center. The Caliber Awards program recognizes the exceptional leadership, hard work and dedication of Broward’s outstanding teachers, principals, assistant principals and school-related employees, and honors the best of the best in their class.
