WHY:                    
The South Plantation High School 2014 Eco Symposium is aimed at increasing community awareness about alternative fuels.  In addition to presentations about corporate green initiatives by keynote speakers from local industries, South Plantation’s Solar Knights racing team will showcase and demonstrate its solar race car. The students are trying to raise money by increasing sponsorships and donations for competing in the 2014 Dell-Winston Solar Car Challenge in Texas this summer. The students won the race in 2011.
