Students to Enjoy “Out of this World” Lesson Thanks to Portable Planetarium

Students at Broward Estates Elementary School and Parkway Middle School
 
WHAT:          
Students will enjoy an “out of this world” experience as they venture inside a portable planetarium.  The planetarium is making its way across the state as part of a promotion by the Florida Department of Education and Just Read, Florida! as a prelude to Celebrate Literacy Week, which is January 13-17, 2014.  This year’s theme is Reading Accelerates Success and aims to get students excited and reading about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).  Thanks to the portable planetarium, students will be able to sit under the stars and learn about space technology, constellations, space exploration and much more.
