WHY:            
Governor Rick Scott appointed Brinkworth to the Broward County School Board to fill the District 3 vacancy. The vacancy was created by the resignation of Katherine P. “Katie” Leach in December 2013.  Brinkworth’s term will be effective through November 18, 2014.
