Broward’s Innovative Tool for Education (BRITE) is the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Department project to bring one business system to Broward schools.  The three-year initiative that replaces Broward’s existing, independent business systems with one integrated system, will replace some systems that are more than three decades old.  BRITE will facilitate easy access to operational and educational information, including single point access and real-time information reporting.

The new system is being rolled out in stages.  Budget preparation, the first place to go live, launches in November 2007. Human resources, payroll, training and events launch in February 2008.  Asset management, maintenance, warehouse management and e-Recruiting will arrive in the 2008/2009 timeframe.
