Small
College Recruitment Fair
|
On February 22 and 23, 2003 small colleges from throughout America
descended upon Coral Springs High School for the annual BCAA Small
College Recruiting Fair.
This two-day fair provides collegiate scholarships and grant awards to
senior high school football players. College football is played on Saturdays
at hundreds of Division II, III and junior colleges across America. This
fair provides the small college coaches the opportunity to meet with
high school seniors who wish to continue their education and play football
on Saturday.
Day 1 of the fair was dedicated to meetings between BCAA coaches and
college recruiters. Each College reviews high school game films to see
what players can help fill their needs. In addition, the college reps
are provided with information on each students' athletic and academic
accomplishments.
On Day 2, athletes, along with their parents, are invited to meet with
the college recruiters to discuss collegiate opportunities.
The two-day fair has four specific objectives:
• promote and provide collegiate and scholarships and grant awards to high
school seniors,
• showcase the BCAA as the nations leading athletic conference,
• promote relationships and affiliation between small college coaches and
BCAA football coaches and,
• further the educational opportunities for our number one customer...the
student athlete.
