The Coral Springs High School Colts Marching Band will host the largest marching band festival in South Florida, Saturday, October 24. More than 2,500 marching students will assemble throughout the day at Coral Springs High School, 7201 West Sample Road, Coral Springs. A different band will take to the field approximately every 15 minutes from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Thirty high school marching bands from Martin County to the Keys will perform in the Florida Bandmasters Association Marching Band Music Performance Assessment. Each band will be judged in the areas of music, marching and maneuvering, general effect and auxiliary. Based on performance in these areas, the bands will be rated superior, excellent, good, fair or poor.
The event is open to the public. Admission is $7 and parking is $3.
