  • PERSONAL: Maureen Dinnen is a long-time resident in Broward County.

    EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: Ms. Dinnen earned a Masters Degree in Social Science from Florida State University and a Bachelors Degree in History from Barry University.

    COMMUNITY/SCHOOL INVOLVEMENT: Ms. Dinnen has been active in many community organizations including: the Governor’s Children and Youth Cabinet, the Broward County Historical Commission, the Broward County Planning Council, the Women’s, League of Voters, the Croissant Park Civic Association, the Museum of Discovery and Science and the Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Organization.

    PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND: For a total of 35 years Ms. Dinnen taught history and mathematics in the Broward County School District and history at Broward Community College. Ms. Dinnen served as President of many influential organizations such as the Florida Educational Association, the Florida Teaching Profession-NEA, the Florida Faculty Senate Presidents, and both the United Faculty of Florida and the Faculty Senate at Broward Community College.
