Jasmine Gamble arrives at school by 8 a.m. each day to help write news script and set up the video product for the morning newscast. She also coaches new students on learning the basics of TV production. In addition to her broadcasting duties, which she has taken on of her own accord, she also serves as senior editor for the yearbook. She is very conscientious about deadlines, helps to teach other students about photography, videography and online design and composition for the yearbook, her teacher said.

Teacher, Kari Murray: "She is quick to share new ideas and always open to listening to others in order to help develop her staff. I worry that she takes on too much and constantly ask her if she feels like she might have bitten off more than she can chew. Her respectful response, 'No, I love this.'"

Parent, Tabitha M. Gamble: "She is very focused, very driven and when she knows that she can master something, she goes for it 110 percent."

Jasmine Gamble: "I have to organize my priorities and I have to manage my time so that I can do some of the extracurricular activities that I love and keep my grades up in school."
