Summer Graduation Program

The School Board's Summer Graduation program will be held at Pompano Beach High School on August 12, 2010. Seniors from Broward's traditional high schools, technical high schools and centers who were not able to participate in their school's regular graduation ceremony may participate in this ceremony. Students must make up whatever deficiency that prohibited them from participating in their school's June ceremony, must fill out and submit an Intent to Graduate Form, must purchase their Summer Graduation Cap and Gown from The Herff Jones Company and must be present at graduation rehearsal.

Students may not use a cap and gown rented or purchased for the June graduation, these should be returned for a refund. Students purchasing a Cap and Gown on or Before Thursday, July 15, 2010 will be charged the contracted price of $50.00. Students who purchase their gowns after July 15, 2010, will be charged a late fee. The absolute last day on which caps and gowns may be ordered is Thursday, August 5, 2010. The Herff Jones Company is located at 8230 West State Road 84 in Davie, Florida 3324 and over the summer their offices are open from Tuesday through Thursday each week from 10am to 3:00pm . An Intent to Graduate form must be filled out by any student wishing to participate. These forms are available at the Adult and Community Schools which will be offering high school courses over the summer. A student who has not filled out and submitted one of these forms will not be eligible to participate in the Summer Ceremony.

Summer Graduation Rehearsal will be held at Pompano Beach High School at 9:00am on Thursday, August 12, 2010. The Graduation Ceremony will start promptly at 7:00pm on the same day.
