    Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) - Sayra V. Hughes, Executive Director, Multicultural, ESOL and Program Services

    - Any child that is eligible (5 years of age by September 1, 2010) to attend Kindergarten in the fall and who did not participate in VPK during the 2009-10 school year.
    - Students’ schedule:  June 14 – August 12, 2010 (9.5 hours) 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., June 23 and July 22 are extended days until 6:15 p.m. – 33 days, 300 hrs. 
    - The program will be offered Monday – Thursday.

    - Up to 4 weeks of service: July 6 – July 29  
    - Over 4 weeks of service: June 28 – August 5
    - Student Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
    - The program will run Monday-Thursday.
    Grade 3 Reading Camp (Regular and Year Round) – Shezette Blue-Small or Susan Smith, Core Curriculum –

    - Any third grade student scoring at Level 1 of FCAT Reading, regardless of promotion
    - Host Schools:  See Attached List    
    - Students - June 28 –August 2: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
    - The program will run Monday-Thursday.
    21st Century Community Learning Center Summer Programs - Carl Dasse, CTACE,

    - Host schools target at-risk children who live within their primary attendance boundary.
    - Programs operate a minimum of 4 hours per day (Monday – Thursday).
    - Program operational dates vary but all programs end by July 29, 2010.
    - Teachers are hired by host schools and paid FDOE approved flat hourly rates.

    - Available at all community school campuses and Alternative High Schools

    This will be a seven day program operating 24 hours a day.
    - June 7  – June 14:  Located at Boy Scout Camp Tannah Keeta, Northern Palm Beach County.
