Broward County Public Schools is recognized as a leader in the integration of technology into the educational process to both increase student achievement and prepare students for the future.
The District is also a leader in using technology to communicate within the district and to reach out to the community. From teleconferences to Web casting to our E-newsletter to Twitter, as the superintendent of the sixth largest school district in the nation, I’m always looking for ways to utilize technology increase communication with all of our stakeholders.
The latest addition to that ever-growing list of communication vehicles is the Vlog, or video blogging. I plan to use the Vlog to not only keep you informed about the great things happening in our schools, but also to discuss important issues that impact the District and the education of students in Broward County.
