Welcome to the Looping Program!!
Looping is the research-based practice of a teacher remaining with the same group of students for two school years. For our incoming Kindergarteners this means that they will remain with the same teacher and in the same classroom right through First Grade. Looping gives teachers and students extra time to build rapport, routines, and trust, which creates a family-like learning community enabling students to excel academically and emotionally.
Looping is an option for incoming kindergarten families, who may choose between looping, multiage, and traditional single year classrooms. Our looping community is based on a family environment and focuses entirely on student’s developmental needs. Looping forms strong, enduring relationships with others, provides differentiated instruction to meet all levels of learners, and promotes self-confidence by producing an interactive community of independent learners.
