Clubs and organizations are a great way to help develop character and the skills that will benefit you in school, your career, and in life. Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in a club or organization. Joining a club is a great way to make friends, develop leadership skills, and boost your college resumé.
The mission of the Ecology Club is to promote a better understanding of our environment, both locally and globally through a hands-on approach. Students will become "ambassadors" for our school to engage in outdoor landscape enhancements, habitat preservation, and will encourage interest and participation in the entire student body.
It is an honor to be chosen as a ‘Safety Patrol’ member. With this honor comes responsibility. Patrols are role models and are expected to set an example for the other students. A patrol’s first responsibility is to complete their classroom activities/work as well as modeling good citizenship at all times. Selected fifth-grade students participate in this club.
Flamingo Elementary’s Student Council members come from the 4th and 5th grades. Each classroom selects a representative to attend the monthly meetings. The purpose of Flamingo Elementary’s Student Council is to represent the views of the students, to provide service and activities for the school and community, and to provide leadership training and experience for the students. The students participate in the election process, sponsor activities, and raise money for community organizations and school projects.
