Safety Patrol
Safety Patrols
In their role of encouraging students to observe safety rules, patrols can have a significant, positive influence on their schoolmates. Patrols influence other students both formally as part of their regular duties, as well as informally because they serve as student role models of appropriate and safe behavior. Safety Patrol candidates are selected by their 4-5th grade teachers. They must maintain an above-average grade in all areas. Their behavior must be that of a leader who constantly follows directions. One who can be an example to other students on campus. The patrols report to their post in the morning daily from 7:35-7:55 a.m.
