Welcome to PTA's Spring Jungle Book Fair Week! This year's theme is "Elephants, Tigers and Books, Oh My!" Students will have the opportunity to visit the library from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. to noon on Friday. For the convenience of our working families, the library will be open until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday night and there are a variety of new titles across all genres. Book prices vary (beginning at $2.00). If you have a question regarding a "good fit" book, appropriate lexile level or Sunshine State Readers, please contact your child(ren)'s teacher(s), Mrs. Dorman (Reading Coach) and/or Ms. Navarro (Media Specialist). Thank you to our wonderful PTA Board as they have been unpacking and setting since Friday afternoon. During PTA's Tijuana Flats Family Night, our school raised $454.00. Thank you to all of our community and staff who participated as these funds directly impact all of our students and supports our programs.

Last call! We are asking for all parents to complete (as an update) and return the media release and consent for family life curriculum forms to your child(ren)'s teacher(s). These were due last week and are available in Portuguese, Spanish and Haitian Creole versions if needed. Unreturned forms are being considered as consent to be photographed and to participate in the health curriculum. In addition to updating these forms, all students received a Parent Guide and information regarding the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCov). Please review. Thank you to the parents who attended our Coffee and Comprehension parent learning this week. The next learning opportunity will be with Dr. Kendrick (School Guidance Counselor) to review the District's Family Life/Human Sexuality Curriculum. We will also have both Portuguese and Spanish interpreters at the meeting.
In an effort to improve System Practices, the Broward County School District is conducting a Stakeholder Survey for all parents, students, and staff. Your responses will be anonymous. Please take the BCPS parent survey by going to the link https://eprovesurveys.advanc-ed.org/surveys/#/action/130076/p568or use the QR code. On your Smartphone, go to the camera and hover over the QR code. A pop up notification should come up and ask you to go to the link. We appreciate your feedback!
