Clubs and organizations are a great way to help develop character and the skills that will benefit you in school, your career, and in life. Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in a club or organization. Joining a club is a great way to make friends, develop leadership skills, and boost your college resumé.

SAVE Promise Club
Who: 3rd - 5th Graders
Meet: 2nd Thursday of every month

SAVE (Students Against Violence Everywhere) Promise Clubs are an opportunity for young people across the country to show their leadership, creativity, and passion for protecting their friends, schools, and communities from violence BEFORE it happens.

Safety Patrol
Safety Patrols is an extra-curricular club for 5th graders. Safety Patrols meet once a month.
Pinewood is proud of our Safety Patrol team for the 2023 - 2024 school year. As a leader, safety patrols have a responsibility to show positive leadership and act as role models for the entire school. They assist students, teachers, and parents to have safe mornings and afternoons at arrival and dismissal times. -
Debate
Students in the debate club will learn several skills that will ultimately create better students, college candidates, and eventually, better employees and citizens. Learned skills in the debate include research, logic, organization of ideas, manipulation of language, assessment of audience, self-esteem and engagement in world events. Students will take occasional field trips to attend debate competitions.

American Sign Language Club
American Sign Language Club (Grades 3-5) Meets January through February
The American Sign Language Club is a place for all students and those who seek knowledge and want to raise awareness of American Sign Language, The Deaf Community, and Deaf Culture. Students will learn about the Deaf Culture while being "cheerleaders" for the deaf community as they learn a new language.
